SINGAPORE MEMBRANE TECHNOLOGY CENTER

A collaboration between Aquaporin A/S, the Singapore Membrane Technology Center (SMTC) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and DHI Singapore has received a 3 mio USD funding from the Environment and Water Industry Development Council (EWI) in Singapore to support the project ”Aquaporin Based Biomimetic Membranes for Water Reuse and Desalination”. The project fully funds 25 man-years of research and development in Singapore. 

Aquaporin has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Singapore Membrane Technology Center (SMTC) and will be establishing a subsidiary in Singapore in close cooperation with DHI and Nanyang Technological University (NTU).

The agreement entails full ownership of all future IPR and know-how generated in the Singapore project to the subsidiary and moreover creates the foundation for further business development on the attractive Asian market.
